SMGA’s flagship location, Olney Golf Park, was home to the first series of SMGA Warrior Golf Clinics in 2007 and draws many veterans from Walter Reed Medical Center.
Today, SMGA Maryland offers both a spring and a fall Warrior Clinic Series directed by Jim Estes, PGA. The Clinics are held on Saturdays and run for 8 weeks. We embrace a family friend’s environment. SMGA Maryland encourages spouses or loved ones to accompany the wounded warrior and participate alongside them. We also provide complimentary childcare each week.
Who Can Participate
Service members or veterans of the US Armed Forces wounded or injured (incl. PTSD and TBI) since post-9/11/2001 and their immediate family or caregivers are eligible to participate free of charge. For more information about the member eligibility requirements and benefits, click here.
Each chapter requires dedicated individuals in the local community to donate and volunteer. For more information on ways you can help your local SMGA chapter, click here.
