The Fort Eustis Wounded Warrior Golf Program was started in 2004. This program began as a creative alternative to the Army’s mandatory PT (Physical Training) for the injured service members assigned to the Warrior Transition Unit at Fort Eustis. What began as monthly PT sessions with 6 attendees has grown into a year-round weekly golf program teaching every aspect of the game. Focusing on fun and friendship the program stresses personal achievement and goal setting.
Andy Weissinger, PGA started the Fort Eustis Wounded Warrior Golf Program in 2004 and has been teaching with the program every year since. Andy was awarded the 2nd ever National PGA Patriot Award by the PGA of America in 2009. Andy has been a member of the PGA of America since 2001.
